From previous posts you may see that the spare tire kite (with a tire) is not available in the US. Only Canada. I did some calling around and with shipping it would cost over $380 to get the actual kit for the Veloster. Did some more research and the spare tire kit from 2011-2012 Elantra will work on the Veloster and the kit fits in the Veloster spare tire well. I found the kit without the actual tire with (rim, jack, styrofoam insert, lug wrench, and spare lug nuts) on ebay for $132 with shipping, bought the tire from tire rack with shipping for $85 (tire size is T125/80D15). I have friend in auto shop that can mount for me so the whole setup was $217. Now I can drive at night on my rural roads without worrying about getting stranded.
Hope this info will help out some of you other Veloster owners out there who will be obsessive compulsive like me to have a spare.
