Yup... It happened... Less than 24 hours of ownership and we have our first paint chip. The dealer was no help. They said the car was too new and no touch up paint was available yet...

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I need to get something on it as the chip is down to the metal (roof above windshield). I guess I can hit the auto parts stores and see if I can find something close... :(

Take it to a body shop that can match paint. In the mean time, you can just cover it with some clear nail polish to keep the rust out. Just remember that the nail polish will have to be removed when you get around to fixing the chip. That may mean a larger area to repaint that a touch-up kit may not be able to handle on it's own.

I ordered blue simply since I haven't been able to see a yellow in person. I like yellow cars IF they're the right shade of yellow. I am also more worried about yellow paint fading than blue. If blue fades, meh. If yellow fades it doesn't look that great IMO.

Hey, I just picked up touch up paint for my V (Marathon Blue). The parts guy wasn't there but the service guy helped out. He said there's an Ocean blue and it's the only blue for the Veloster so it should be it. I Think it's the same colour (looks like the same colour in other markets, just called Ocean Blue). Do you think it's the same colour? On the pen itself, it doesn't indicate if it's for the Veloster or not.
