Taillight opinions

Well since I got the Veloster about a month ago, I've been pondering what to do with the taillights. As much as I wanted to do the whole nightshade or tinting route, that's what everyone does, not to mention it's illegal in Mass to do the whole light. So I wanted to try and be a little different, so to kinda generate an idea on how it would look, i took some tape to kinda mock it up.

View from the side option 1: (Ignore the black line dividing the two red parts, not sure what I was thinking there haha)

Tell me what you guys think

yeah like i said in the (), ignore the black line that divides the two red parts in option 1, I would definitely do a solid red, not divided

What I meant was the pointy part should be more pointy on the red like the clear, though, I was looking at my Vs lights and noticed that you pretty much followed the internal shapes. While red on red looks great on most Vs, I actually like this idea because of all the black trim you have with window tints and blacked out emblems. It could look really nice.

I would definitely not use tape haha, that's straight out of the ghetto, tape was just for getting an idea on looks :p
I would tint them for sure

"before" looks the best. it flows with the car, the other ones look like chunky parts were put on.

imho i prefer it without the black. i have a red v as well and thought about that too, but i like how the red and red go together nicely, no need for black lines to interfere with the flow of the design. sometimes less is more :)

I like the innovation here! Looks good!!!

If i had to pick one it would be the first one, but to be honest I will probability wait until something aftermarket comes out. I hate the red on green but I know it saves my life lol.

I am hoping for something like this to come out:

Blacked out tail lights

I have a red v also, personally i would love some aftermarket clear euro style tails, i think that would look awesome if done properly

Have you thought of painting that part Boston red to match... Might make it look.... Ya know, more flowy. Is that a word? I was thinking of painting mine like option 1 but in Ironman silver to match the car. Personally I don't like the taillight contrast on your car. The black ***** looks odd. To each his own.

i would recommend either tinting the entire lens, or tint the lens, and then color match over the tint in boston red. We've done this in the past for many many vehicles, and it always looks absolutely beautiful (as much as can be expected for tail lights).
