I picked Sept. as the date but this is getting to be long. Got so impatient I got vanity plates already ordered to X'fr when I get one. Now I really have to get a Veloster because it just wouldn't be right to put them on a Scion! I just wanted to buy something so another 6-8 weeks my tags should be on my Celica confusing ppl! Hope soon after that to be sporting the tags to their rightful place on a red Veloster. I am willing to wait, not willing to pay a premium for that privilege so looks like it will be awhile.

When I was at the NY Auto Show in April, a Hyundai rep told me it's looking like Sept. now because of the labor strike delays. They appear to be shipping to Europe now, which, I believe is the stop just before the US.

Just read an article from an Austrailian newspaper posted two days ago stating the Veloster is out already here in the US. Dayum I wish they were correct but of course no such luck..Good article though and they stated the starting price here at $17,800.00 Sounds really good to me!

Thats awesome, you should post pictures of your VELOSTR license plates.
Soon enough you will be able to use those VELOSTR plates, since early fall is when the veloster release date is expected to be.

Finally some evidence our tags are getting closer to use. All the Hyundai dealers websites have added a 2012 Veloster page! Yea! Some have it under "inventory" "new" etc.. still says Summer 2011 so Sept maybe it. Not much more info than we have & no prices but at least they now have something. Congrats on the plates, great minds think alike haha.

Visited a dealer today in PA. He said they have a September to October time frame for arrival. 60 days before they get inventory Hyundai sends them a list of vehicles they will receive. Once he gets the list he will call interested customers and if you put $500 down on a car it is yours when it comes in.

Its so funny how many different answers we are all getting from dealers. I spoke with a dealer two days ago in Ohio and he said they could start getting them in later this month or early August. Who the **** knows. I am just tired of hearing about it from dealers because lets face it they have no f ing clue. I just hope hyundai gives us some much deserved info on the release date soon. You guys would laugh at how many dealers I have spoken with in the last six months just trying to get info and nothing at all worth mentioning because they dont know a **** thing...Sorry to sound so negative. I am trying to be patient...

yea the dealer by my house told me they never heard of the veloster, if it comes with projectors i will be happy.

^keep dreaming...the LEDS yes...but no projectors. we should be able to get kdm lights and swap them out.
