Hello everyone! New the the forums, and love my V. I purchased these off of ebay (2 x Underdoor Courtesy LED Shadow Projector Light 5W Chip for Hyundai Genesis | eBay) and they are sweet! took awhile since they were coming from overseas but well worth it. My question is the wiring. The only way that I see this possibly with these in my doors is to run another wire threw the door and into the car. Otherwise the lights will be on all the time with the supplied power to the windows. I want these to come on when I open the doors. Obviously. Does anyone know of another way to get power to the lights that will come on everytime I open the door without running another wire? Ive tested all the leads coming into the door and there is nothing that seams to work. Also If i did have to run another wire, another way then going through the wire grommet? Ive tried and its not happening in my world. lol I saw in the thread about the turn signals that they went through a aux port....

OK, so about the only way to make this work is, you Have to run another wire, I had to do this with my mirrors, I actually ran 2, came out of the groumet in the door and into the the lower one in the door post between the hinges, you can run a hot constant from any one of the wires in the door, I would put a fuslink in it tho, and then run a wire from the door plunger which is actually the gound wire, its wired opposite of the way you would normally wire something up, the gound is what completes the circuit when the door is opened, I saw those with the hyundai logo, they look pretty cool, may do them myself.

Actually you can get you power side from the fuse block and the ground swithching wire from the wire bundle that runs along the lower door sill where the scuff plate is, I took the plunger out and got the wire color then opened the wire bundle down by the scuff plate and tapped into the wire there, was allot easier then trying to get the post cover off.

very nice! I unfortunately don't know of a way to do this without running another wire...I would love to do something similar (not really into the Hyundai light, just a plain white light) for my doors.

got mine installed awhile back....been busy! Install of the lights were easy. The wiring was a B**ch! trying to find the the ground wire in that harness was the hardest part. I ended up having to run a wire for positive from my fuse box all the way over to the passenger side. Lets just say this install is a 8 out of 10 difficulty for diy if i had to rate.
