This seems like someone who never even drove one or lived with it. I've had my 2015 VT MT for a year and a half and it is still a hoot. Sure there are faster higher quality options, but this was a great deal and still under warranty till Nov of 2020. I've taught my 15 year old son to drive a manual on it and did one road trip with my wife to Charleston SC from Huntsville AL with no issues.

Only a true Velo lover has a 1st Gen Velo. We come in all walks of life and do all different types of mods. Turbos to NAVs with the different body styles between are beloved by their owners. Many 1st Gen owners do not think there is any eye catching style to the 2nd Gen and I wish the body styles had been kept similar myself.

I'm still on the fence on the Gen2, it looks too much like a Toyota Crawlla

That it is!

I tend to think Gen 1 Veloster is a good cult car candidate because it is just so unlike any other car on the road. The Gen 2 seems to "play well with others" more so than Gen 1. If I'm lucky enough to drive it for 20 years then maybe I'll actually get my money back when I sell it!

This is my next ride (if it were sold here): Solo by Electrameccanica.

i would disagree on the R-spec they are normal production cars.

NAV reMIX (basically a tech and style mix with bodykit)
NAV reFLEX (basically a style with chrome) aka junk
turbo rally (blue paint, rays wheels)
