Nicely done and I especially like those Motegi Racing MR131 Tracklite wheels. 😍
They look like the Advans and I love that style wheel.
How light were these and what did they cost you?
I may be looking at a second set of wheels in the future and thanks. 👍😎

Bit the bullet and bought an ebay used cylinder head. Crossing my fingers my luck holds out. Also ordered some new head bolts and gasket kit. Might get this thing running this month yet.

Well I got my oil sample evaluated by Blackstone Labs and here are the results.

Everything looked good with the exception of the iron content, sodium, and the TBN was at the threshold.

Iron content is probably high because I do run the car hard. 😂😁🤷🏼‍♂️
Sodium content is probably in the oil In using as no additives are used in my oil for now. They're stating coolant but because it has sulphuric but ptassium is low and that's also an indicator of coolant in the oil.
I guarantee there's no coolant in the oil. 😉

TBN is how much additives is left in the oil and a 1.1 is pretty low hence me changing the oil at 6,000 miles. It needed changing and this proves that.

So from what I'm seeing is the engine is in Rio too shape. 🙌
I'll be sending in another sample to see if there's any changes.

I'm using Royal Purple HPS formula with added zinc in a 5w20 blend and this time around I'm using Rislone Nano Prime synthetic additive to see how well this works.
Engine runs great and revs easily to redline with no problem.

So I'll be checking again for any oil consumption and changing the oil this time at 5,000 miles. 👍😎

This Arizona heat melted the glue that keeps the fabric of my sunroof intact therefore I can't open it as it's hanging. 😔

How sketch are the exhaust manifold bolts to remove? Did you feel at any point that there was a risk of breaking a bolt?

I just threw a breaker bar on them and shocked them. All came out super easily compared to every subaru, vw and jeep i've ever worked on

What exactly are you going to be doing with the head for transport?
Machine shop?
I'm curious as I'll be doing the same thing as I have a used head sitting at home waiting for some work.

No machine shop, just throwing the new head as is. I would've just rebuilt my original head if the machine shops locally weren't going to charge almost $1200 to rework it.
@absoluteyeti , is it just me, or cylinder 3 in your donor head seems to have been running pretty hot compared to the other 3?
Surface rust from the donor engine before the head was removed. This was the cylinder open to the air. The stem and plugs were fine

The large baffled catch can is currently recirculated.
