Curious how the Veloster sells in terms of demographics. I suspect I'm an old timer around here at 51.

Crispy Oni and Rickets....You guys rule! OMG the vote remark was hilarious!!!

Would love to see the demographics related to the take rate of stick/Auto transmissions...Us old guys still enjoy rowing the gears.....Its a great anti-theft device among the youngsters today.

Hyundai did market this hoping for sales to a very young driver population. I remember when in 2011 I went to see the Veloster for the first time at the dealership it was just me and a few doppelgangers (white hair, balding, goatees). The whole thing put me off (sort of) but I realized then that the Veloster was the lost dream come true! It was a great looking and unusual car and it came with great features at a reasonable price! All things that would only appeal to older men!

52 here and love rowing the gears. Might help with the "unintended acceleration" issues car manufacturers seem to be having as well

What's funny is that Hyundai has become the official make of the retiree generation. Visited my folks (late 70's) in AZ over spring break and EVERY OLD FART out there has a Hyundai.

You should see the G Street group at my regional autocross group. A bunch of old guys souping up their Civics and now a Veloster...

It does seem interesting about the ages. The local group of owners around here are in their late 20s / early 30s so I thought I was the old guy. I’m 53 and a manual driver. I think I’ve owned 1 automatic my entire life. Even had a manual Tundra truck.

53 here. Picked up my ‘19 Rspec last October. As my window sticker says “Real cars don’t shift themselves”. All of the cars in my driveway have manual transmissions.
