I bought a Veloster from an auction sight unseen. The sunroof shade hangs low enough to touch my head when closed all the way. When open it completely hangs in the backseat. So when I drive I let it hang in the back seat and just don't have a rear view mirror anymore. Pics attached.

What could be the problem and what could be the fix? Also, is that the stock shade system?

I looked online for info and couldn't find anything at all. Couldn't even tell by pictures of velosters shades are just a soft fabric like that.

The shade rolls up on a roller just like a roll-up window shade in your house. You'll have to take the headliner loose to access the roller and the mechanics, however I'd check to be sure that there is no blown fuse for the roller first. Some access might be possible by opening the window fully.

Really appreciate the advice. Didn't even think about checking fuses would be amazing if that is the problem! It appears the shade roller thingy is part of the shade, if it has to be replaced
