Yea, dealerships aren't going to offer much because they have to make a handsome profit and take the burden of risk if anything is wrong with it. They wouldn't offer more than $2k for my Dodge when I went to buy the V. So, I listed it on craigslist and sold it for $5,100 within 3 hours. Dealerships are usually the worst place to sell if you're looking for top dollar.

Unfortunately, the more you customize the car, the narrower your buyer market becomes, and the less the car is worth. The best thing to do is sell it private party. Dealers and car lots are going to give you the lowest amount possible to maximize their revenue. I know--in my eyes my car is easily worth 22K, but I bet would only sell for 17-18K. :( SO DISAPPOINTING!!

you realize 3.5% down for a house on an fha loan these days isn't much unless you are buying a very expensive house at 20 years old. There is also usda loans which require no down payment if you buy in a rural area. Check here for usda elgibility and where you can check addresses etc. Welcome . There are several other loans that assist first time home buyers in down payments... etc. Look into all that first. Speak with a lender!

At end of the day unless you're paying cash for another car after you get rid of the V. you'll still have insurance to pay and a car payment.

and you car is not worth over 20k. you can get a brand new 100k mile warranty VT for 20k now if you find a 2013 left over which they're out there. Who buys your car next won't get 100k warranty transferred. Makes more sense to buy new hyundai's these days unless you get a killer deal.
