Issues with Brake Lines

Hi all,
I am looking for some help in regards to some issues I'm having with my brake lines that I recently replaced on my 2012 Veloster.

For some background I had a leak in my brake line about midway down the line to the back brakes, I decided to replace both lines as they were very rusted and did it myself over 2 days. after replacing the brake lines I filled the master cylinder reservoir and bled the air out of all the calipers going RR, LR, FR, FL using the 3 pumps and hold method. The brake pedal afterwards was still soft and would go to the floor/couldn't build up pressure. I am pretty sure the master cylinder reservoir emptied completely while I was replacing the lines so I bled out the air in the master cylinder and re-bled all the calipers in the same order as above. This didn't seem to fix the issue as the pedal was the same as before. I also have checked all the connection that I installed for leaks and that doesn't seem to be the culprit.

My thoughts are to either replace the master cylinder or bleed the lines with a vacuum bleeder instead but I would love any advice for things I could have done wrong/missed.

Thanks for the help and if you have any question I will try to respond quickly.

sounds like this is becoming a common issue, mine are rotted too.

the MC will most likely need to be removed and bench bled... in the next day or two i am going to finish up doing the same and with some luck i wont have to bench bleed but i am going to attempt it on the car, lol

Awesome, I will give this a try, let me know how yours goes aswell.
I also have a 2012 Veloster, and since you are also from Canada I thought I would let you know that there is a Hyundai Canada Safety recall for the rusting brake lines issue.
I received my notice for this a couple of weeks ago. They will inspect and undercoat and/or replace the lines as required.
Check Hyundai Canada Recall Lookup with your VIN to see if it may apply to you (Campaign C0525).

im curious if the reason i can't get lines in the US (and the recall doesn't include the lines in the US) is because you canadians are eating them all up lol
The struggle is real. These are out of order. Top photo is completed flares unions and lines just need to pop it all back together and bleed.

Best of luck with the bleed, I found that part the worst to get proper brake pressure. On the bright side Hyundai will still take my car for the recall of the brake lines and replace the full brake lines.
