I’m new here, and I was wondering how far you could push a 16 DCT VT (tuning as well and where to get one )? I heard DCTs are iffy when draw out more power, along with the clutch.
current mods
- Injen COLD air intake
Hood Motor vehicle Vehicle Automotive design Automotive lighting

Sound clip (yes the induction noise is ear porn especially up close) Little pull
Next up - downpipe (looking into 845 motorsports hi flow catted, 3” downpipe).
Bigger FMIC
Upgraded fuel line
HKS plugs
OCC
WM kit.
Veloster mileage - 82500, just got a oil change 500 miles ago. My first car ! And me and my pops have done all these mods, nothing worth the shop yet. Got it at 77K

Ahhh okay, yeah I looked on 845s web page earlier and saw that wait time and was shocked. And for the MBRP, it sounds good, but I def wanna upgrade over it, either what you said and I’ve heard good things about ISR. at first I was just wanting it for the sound but now slowly I’m starting to enter a state where I want to mod and mod and mod.

For any of those wondering, here’s what the TurboXS BOV sounds like. Not overly loud, but definitely way louder then the DIY BPV -> BOV Mod and it’s wayyyyy more noticeable to people around lol. Worth it imo. I’ve surprised people with it lol. It’s just a temporary thing tho as I plan on getting a bigger FMIC soon

Im late here to the party, but Here’s a little short, here’s what a veloster with basic stage 1 mods (exhaust/intake/BOV) sounds like. Sounds great. All of it was about 1100-1200$ (exhaust costing the most). Truly worth it getting these mods for your Veloster if your into modifications, for 1st gen and 2nd gen and the N model. For a first car , it truly is fun.
