Hello everyone,

I have a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo 1.6L (Automatic). My engine is blown and I'm trying to buy a replacement. My 1st cylinder has no compression (flatline) but the other 3 are good. I was wondering if I would need buy the turbo model engine or is the base model compatible? Would it also matter if you put an Engine from a Manual Transmission in there?

And you have any idea where to look please lmk. I am located in North Georgia. Also, would it be more convenient rebuilding the engine since it’s only 1 cylinder, or should I go ahead and go for a used engine?

base model is not compatible.

if you're smart, pull the old motor (you have to anyways) and check the damage.... or use a boroscope in the spark plug. if you dont have any holes in the block maybe it's just the head.

auto or manual motor doesnt matter.
