Have the mechanic drive around with you to hear it. It looks like you spent the value of the car for the noise.I have a 2012 Hyundai Veloster base model and I’ve been hearing these clicks/clonkings/knocks when I accelerate during any mph I’m going, and then I hear screeching noises when I brake. I recently noticed that the click is going faster when I’m on the freeway, but not on the streets. I also hear a clunking noise when I’m turning in any direction. I hear everything coming from the front end, so I decided to change my brakes and rotors, and it still hasn’t solved the issue… I’ve already replaced my struts, shocks and brand new tires with an new alignment not too long ago. I’ve spoke with few mechanics, and they can’t seem to find the problem. What could be the issue???
He heard it when I test drove it with him, but he couldn’t find the issue. He was telling me to come back in a few days if it gets louder since he does a 30 day warranty. It seems like he doesn’t know much about this type of stuff with wheels and parts from underneath. I’ll be checking tomorrow if it’s my engine motor mount first then taking it to another mechanic shop that knows more since this shop didn’t even know what it was.Have the mechanic drive around with you to hear it. I had noise caused by the sway bar links. Had to diagnose. Caused a clunking noise. The steering wheel clunk is caused by a small plastic part in the steering column that deteriorated. Very hard to replace but there are few Utube videos showing how to do it. The part is called a coupler.I have a 2012 Hyundai Veloster base model and I’ve been hearing these clicks/clonkings/knocks when I accelerate during any mph I’m going, and then I hear screeching noises when I brake.
