did you check under your car to see if any fluids were leaking?
didn't have time to but I will check when I get my car homedid you check under your car to see if any fluids were leaking?
Regular and DCTTurbo or NA? Manual transmission?
I was driving my 2013 Hyundai Veloster to school this morning and when I turned onto a new road I noticed my car revved louder than it should've. I figured I must've just pressed down the gas too much so I just coasted for a second. As my engine revved down I noticed a ticking sound from my engine and just thought that I should be able to make it to work since I was less than a mile away. I continued driving for a second before my cab was filled with the smell of what I think was burning oil but it also could've been the outside since the a papermill nearby had an accident. I pulled my car to the side of the road and as I put the car in park my Oil light, Battery Light, ABS Light, and the "Immobilizer Indicator" light all came on at once. I turned my car off and tried to turn it back on and the car tried to crank but it sounded bogged down and it stopped the moment I stopped pressing the On button. If someone has had this happen to them I would appreciate some help in identifying the cause of this so that I may get it fixed.
You’re getting a free engine out of that warranty?? I just got the sensor 🙃Knock sensor... there is a recall right now for it. Hyundai is replacing my entire engine for free right now. It is a current recall that is active.
Mine did the similar thing as you described.

My car was at the dealer for 10 days for a clutch and throw out bearing plus the free knock sensor. So for all those work days I had to pay around $40-50 per day for Uber just to get to work and back. When the knock sensor went to crap. A few other things went wrong too with it. Plus they are paying for my rental car while car is in the shop since it is a 3 week wait.
mine just started chirping at 115k. It is possible the first owner used it to learn stick or just sucked at driving stick/abused it. I went with OEM clutch, throw out bearing, cover, etc, simply bc I had just moved and had no money. So that totaled me about $1900 for parts and labor at the dealer.I drive a manual transmission 2016 Veloster turbo. On my way to school the other day, I was about to shift to 1st when I heard a loud pop come from underneath me. Turns out the clutch is in pieces and it'll cost an arm and a leg to replace. I've barely had the car for 8 months and it only has about 50k miles on it. Why in the world would this happen? The only thing that makes sense to me is that the person who had it before me wore the crap out of it.
Also, if I end up replacing the clutch, it better to just get the stock one or something else?
Our 2016 V Turbo, 80K miles, ruined clutch. The car was out of town, so had to have AAA fix it - $2,950. Parts were over $1,500. Was expecting to get 150k miles before clutch replacement.I drive a manual transmission 2016 Veloster turbo.
