potential oil leak?

tried the fix with Wastegate Solenoid.Fixed the P0299.
Code cleared after a few drives. Came back a few days after code cleared. Every time I accelerate hard all boost pressure gets lost.

I'm having the same issue with my 2013. I've replaced wastegate solenoid, boost pressure valve, tighten clamps and checked BOV. I'm down to the MAP or ECU.

Try changing the air filter, and be sure the air intake at the front isn't clogged up.

Who has a supplier for replacement Turbo? The shop is telling me there's a 6 month wait for replacements!

New solenoid installed. Hoses were basically welded onto the old one. Now getting 200+hp at the crank and 16.7 psi of boost. Low boost pressure has completely gone away, only to be replaced by loud squeaking sound coming from the front left at full boost. I'm assuming the intercooler hoses have a small pinhole leak that's making the sound. I can replace those hoses soon, but you guys were right; the solenoid was broken. The solenoid was visibly cracked and was likely leaking air pressure, causing the problem. I'm assuming this happened when the turbo was replaced.

Again, I wouldn't have thought to change the solenoid without your help. Much thanks for pointing me to a $45 part that got me 45+ horsepower!

Do you by chance have the part number you ordered? ive ordered one twice once from advanced auto parts and once from the local dealer and both have showed up wtith a different electrical connector and a added vacuum line that wasnt on the original. any help is appreciated. mine is a 2013 1.6 but im sure the 2014 is similar. or does anyone have a after market option that has worked for them?

there are two that are almost identical - one sits up on the intercooler the other back by the turbo. chances are you ordered the other one. which one did you get, what is the PN?

few months ago my car started issue while driving loss of power, i feel like turbo not responding well , and engine light came.. so checked with a technician, after computerized checking we found error code P0299, so he suggested to me to change pressure sensor, after changing next day happened the same issue.. then i checked in internet i saw your solution in veloster.org, which is Replacing the Wastegate solenoid, so ordered yesterday,

also i have an another problem in my car last few weeks, when i accelerate from 0 there is a jerking on my car, that also checked with hyundai dealer they checked and computer report was no issue,, is this same issue above? i mean because of bad wastegate solenoid ?

sounds more transmission related, the p0299 just puts the car in limp mode.

Hi I noticed your comment on a post about the lack of engine power in your 2016 Turbo. I’m currently having the exact same issue and the car has been in the garage for the past three days because the mechanic is not able to make the issue come back again.

i was changed waste gate solenoid but still am facing the same issue… u guyz found any solution regarding this?

Hi have you checked your coils and spark plugs? Also, I'm having issues changing odd gears and this was a result of the transmission fluid being old + im looking to change my DCT actuator
