The 6DCT could not take the torque the Turbo put out, but the 2016 model on debuted a 7DCT that could.
The 6AT is better for durability, being a traditional torque converter automatic.
That said, I'm at 167,000 miles on the 6DCT and I haven't blown it yet, despite using it for delivery driving. I bought this car specifically because it has a DCT, and it would probably be my only chance to tick off that bucket list item - daily a car with a DCT.
