Hello, I recently bought a shift knob from Sxth Element Engineering for my 2019 Veloster RSpec. It was an easy switch and well worth it in my opinion. However, I didn’t like how the reverse lock out felt. The original shifter had a cylinder that protruded out that pressed the spring down which was what was keeping the reverse lockout mechanism firmly in place when not intentionally pulling it up to get into reverse. To fix this issue, I 3D printed the piece that was protruding out from the original shift knob and placed it in first then put on the nut.

I posted pictures below. I hope it gives a clearer understanding of what I did.

I’ve been using this set up for couple months now and it’s been great! One thing that I might change down the line, is add a groove somewhere along the outer wall of the 3D printed piece so I can add the oem O-ring that the factory shift knob uses.

You should perfect them as you mentioned, make a couple dozen more, and throw them up on ebay! I know I'd buy one.
