I have a 2015 R-Spec, that the BOV was acting up for a couple of days with a check engine light on. I was getting on the interstate so I was accelerating pretty hard when I got cut off by a 18 wheeler and had to slam my brakes on. When I tried to take back off a horrible sound came from what I assume is the turbo, sound like the shaft is spinning and not the blades, and now no power. So did I blow the turbo?? And if so anyone know where I can get one? I looked on line and it looks like 700 to 800 bucks ouch!! So if someone can point me in the right direction I really would appreciate it any help.

have you checked all the charge piping?

probably best to see the dealer or mechanic then.

I can tell you from my experience right now my Hyundai R-Spec is at the dealership changing the turbo and the PCV valve. And the noise it first made sounded like the power unit fan in a computer making a weird spinning sound I actually thought it could have been my electrical fan from the noise. I noticed the change in my power it didn't feel the same and I couldn't feel the Boost kick in like I normally did. I came to find out from Hyundai that my Turbo is bad. It was also starting to smoke after that.
