Just got me a veloster base model and was looking to upgrade it. Any suggestions for performance base parts?

There's not much you can do to the car to make it fast. Yeah it'll sound good and have better throttle response but in the end it'll never go faster than high 17 second passes at the drag strip.
I know this as I've helped a fellow Veloster owner in Florida do all the normally aspirated mods you can do and he tracked it with only a meager 17.8 best in the 1/4 mile.
I don't know what they run bone stock but I seriously doubt they're quicker than 18 at the track.
These cars aren't fast and there's no tune available to tweak the car for better performance. 🤷🏼♂️
Again you'll have a sweet sounding car with the upgrades, it'll be slightly quicker but not by much.
Personally you get your best bang for the buck in suspension and chassis upgrades. These cars handle amazing when setup properly and as the old saying goes, it's better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.
