My 2020 NAV 2.0 has a recall. After completion of the oil consumption test. It used 1.3 quarts of oil for 1000 miles. The dealer Service Manager forwarded the info to Hyundai. Hyundai responded that this is normal oil usage, between oil changes. I was a little upset to say the least. I have never had a vehicle use that amount of oil. Anyone else get the same response from Hyundai?

Even a quart per 1000 miles is not good. Your best hope is a leak or leaks. Have you checked for this?? However, it's quite strange to hear Hyundai said that it's normal oil usage.

Between oil changes and 1000 miles are two completely different things.

There is no way 1 quart loss per 1000 miles or even per oil change should be acceptable. That’s enough to highly accelerate wear if you aren’t checking and adding often. Time for litigation

Well. My 2016 Veloster non turbo is now sucking oil. Around every time I'm filling the car with gas I'm filling the oil from nothing on the dipstick to full. That's about every 430 miles. I took it to a mechanic yesterday and they said I don't have a leak and have to rebuild the engine or get a new one. 190,000 km (118,060.miles.)
