Get a stiffer lower engine mount or bushings and stickier tires.
  3. Some questions for those who have an oil catch can

    Hyundai Veloster General Discussion
How often does it need to be emptied during the summer and during the winter? More often in the colder months that during summer. This is due to condensation. Maybe 1-2 months during summer and every 2-3 weeks during winter. It'll be different with everyone depending or your driving. I'd check...

Craigslist. I've seen full OEM sets with tires for $200.
  5. Misfireing BPV possibility?

    Hyundai Veloster Turbo Problems/Help
It's a fairly common occurrence. It's not a matter of if, but when. The stock BPV diaphragm is made of rubber and will ultimately rupture. Symptoms would include loss of boost & decreased performance. Sometimes they emit noise as the air escapes.

  7. Exhaust Recommendations

    Hyundai Veloster Intake and Exhaust
Not having a catalytic will most likely void your warranty. The exhaust by itself should not.
  8. Exhaust Recommendations

    Hyundai Veloster Intake and Exhaust
Go with CNT Racing. I've had mine since 2016. Still sounds & looks awesome. Do the downpipe and catback for the full effect. Not obnoxious but you'll love tunnels and underpasses (y)
  9. Aftermarket Downpipe with no tune

    Hyundai Veloster Turbo Discussion
It depends on which catalytic converter setup you have. Midway through 2015 Hyundai changed the design from a single pipe with two catalytic converters in it, to a design which has the primary cat in the elbow from the turbo and the second cat further down. If you have the earlier version (a)...
  10. Engine Mods

    Hyundai Veloster Turbo Discussion
I'd suggest going catless and getting a tune. Those are (by far) the two best improvements you can do performance wise unless you're looking at spending $10K on the motor. Those two will put you at about 250 HP and will make your VT a very fun commuter. You will also need supporting mods like...
  11. DIY help?

Hyundai Veloster DIY Tips and Tricks
Look for used parts in the "for sale" section here, on ebay, and Facebook (Veloster parts to buy, sell, or trade group). There's tons of cheap used aftermarket stuff for sale for Gen1 models. Make sure your preventative maintenance is up to date before spending money on unnecessary modifications...

It was $750 with no accessories, and about $1200 as it looks in the picture.
  13. Pcv question

    Hyundai Veloster General Discussion
PCV valves are checked by shaking them. If you can hear the ball rattle, it’s good to go. The test you did by blowing/sucking on it (lol) also confirms its function properly. How much oil were you down?
