    Turbo going bad

    Hi all!
I bought my 2013 Veloster turbo 2 1/2 years ago and have absolutely loved it so far. I have put a lot of miles on it but now the turbo is making a ton of noise and I was wondering if anyone here had replaced one, if there are aftermarket ones available that will bolt in, etc.

The first "batch" of 2013 VT's had serious issues. It was resolved within the model year and did not carry over into the later models of turbo. Replacement should not be problem.

It's not a matter of it being difficult to change, I'm more concerned with the $1350 price tag that they want for one. I work as an industrial mechanic and have access to bearings and such. has anyone here ever rebuilt one successfully?

the turbo and manifold are almost one complete piece. you can buy a complete unit for under a grand on ebay and an upgraded one for around there.
