    Painting my exhaust diffuser

So I was tired of the sooty and rusted diffuser on my NAV. Removing it broke two of the five screws, oh well.

My question is very simple. Between rattle can primer/paint/clear process or powder coating, what do you guys suggest will be most resilient and easier to clean? I'm going to have it media blasted if course to prepare for whichever paint process.

If you go white or silver be prepared to do it often. Black is best bet. Painted mine black a year ago and still looks great.

Just give them a good cleaning with a paste of Bar Keepers Friend and water! Once they are clean, you just clean them with water and paper towels at least every two weeks or once a month and they will stay shiny. It is very simple, no need for paint. 7.5 years of shiny tips -- I know what I'm talking about!

I painted everything black on my car that wasn't and I used this for my exhaust tips. It turned out just as I wanted and it looks great.

Alright, I will ponder your suggestions, thanks for your input!!

The only thing I wonder is, have any of yours rusted? Because the road salt for our winters here has done a number on mine.

Road salt is definitely hard. I notice many Canadians "park" their Velosters in winter because of the wheels, etc., and not everyone has that luxury of winter/summer cars. Once rust is part of the picture, Hyundai does cover rust to some extent but I don't know what it might be in Canada.

My Veloster is my only ride, so yes I do drive it all year. I'm not going to talk about body warranty any further then to say I'm way over my 60k km / 3 year warranty.

I have other rust issues with the car, but they are normal considering the amount of highway driving I do... Hood edge, roof line at the windshield, and some minor rusting in the door creases at some poorly welded seams.
I digress... So maybe I will get around to painting it black. Maybe.
