I have somewhat of the same thing. It happens when i go in reverse and i slightly press the peddle you hear a clunk and a rapid jolt backwards. Also, when i give in sport mode in 1st and let go of the gas you'll hear the same thing.

So I just finished an hour long drive in bumper to bumper traffic along the 401 going to work. I left it in first for a long time creating the jerking motion and the knocking sound would happen each time I let off the gas. My best guess is it's coming from the back center or driver side. I also noticed that if the car is moving along at around 60 km/h or so and I brake a little more aggressive I would here a knock from the back left side. Like something loose coming forward and hitting the wheel well or something. Well tomorrow is my appointment with the dealer and I hope they can get everything sorted out and fixed. I'll keep you guys updated.

Mine clunks up front when turning to full lock. Generally happens when I'm backing out of a spot. It sounds like it's coming from the sway bar. BTW, it's done this since I got it last week.
Spooling up.
Did you take it into the dealer for an opinion and to get them to fix it?

my car is at the dealer now....they replaced something in the suspension that hyundai suggested but they called me and said that it still make the knocking noise when accelerating and when letting off...knocks when engine or trans shifts forward or backward (i dont mean shift as in gears...I mean movement). hopefully tomorrow they will call me with good news and I will share the results
Sounds like same noise as mine. I thought it was coming from the rear or like under drivers seat but now i think it is left front and the noise possibly travels and seems like it is in the rear or mid section. My car is at the dealer now and hopefiully they will find the problem. i was able to create the noise on the roadtest with the tech so at least they reproduced it
OK guys, the problem is fixed. It wasn't what I thought it was. Went for a VERY brief drive with the tech just in the parking lot engaging first and reverse and he heard the noise. He knew what it was. So it turned out to be that my CV shafts were not torqued to spec. He said it should be 200ftlbs and I only had about 110. So they retorqued it for me and the noise went away. HOWEVER, the break noise did not. When I was driving home I tested it out and braked a bit harder and still heard he knocking sound coming from the back area. Went right back and took the tech out for a drive this time with me driving. He heard the sound and believes that it is a loose clip or something in the back seat or door panel. They said that they would need the car for the whole day so I will be going back on Monday morning. I'm pretty happy with the service of my dealer as I was in and out within the hour and the tech was very helpful. I know I can't expect to be drinking champagne with beer money but it's good to know that these people care.
