Can the seat belt adjuster lock?

So I guess I'm too tall for the middle setting on the seat belt adjuster, but the highest setting causes the seat belt to rub against my neck.

Anyone know if there is a way to lock it to stay in the preferred position?

I had the same issue with my V. Top setting made the belt rub my neck and the middle setting wouldn't stay in place (it kept going back to the upper setting). And the lowest setting was definitely out lol.

I played with the seat adjustments a lil bit and after lowering the seat some, the middle setting works perfectly... stays in place and no rubbing my neck. Maybe try that?

I do kinda wish that there were more "settings" than the 3 provided, and yeah, something to "lock" it in place once you have it where you want it would be awesome

I have the seat fully lowered. . I'm only 5'8" but I have a really long torso.

The only way it doesn't rub my neck is if I sit too far back and completely straight up. Then I can barely reach controls and hit my head. Lol

Yeah you must have a long torso.. I'm 5'10" and my g/f is the same height as you, maybe an inch taller. The seat is perfect for me now and when she drove my V the other day, all she did was slide the seat forward an inch or two.. no complaints on the seatbelt or hitting her head. That sucks that you're having a difficult time getting "comfortable" in the car. Have you tried sliding the seat forward a bit and reclining the back some? Kinda hard to explain in text, but it might help prevent your head from hitting the roof and put your shoulder low enough that the middle seatbelt setting will stay put for you.

Yeah I am a bit disproportional I guess. I have a hard time finding shirts long enough and average length jeans are too long unless I wear heels - and I hate heels. Lol

I did try the "gangster lean" as shown in your wonderful illustration. If I lean back far enough it doesn't rub my neck, but it's just too far. I would say my seat position is halfway in between the illustrations right now.

I'm taking it back for the window tinting tomorrow, so I'll see if they can somehow lock it. It would be better though if they could just make the seat sit on the floor. There's a good 2 or 3 inches of space down there fully lowered! Lol

Honest Abe used to say, "you can please some of the people some of the time..."
Maybe set it to where you need it and drill a small hole, then lock it with a cotter pin or something? There must be some mod you can do. Or there is always duct tape.

I found a solution. It's a bit of a pain - but less of a pain than a seatbelt scrubbing my neck (and fear of decapitation in a bad wreck). I found a little plastic seat belt adjuster at Walmart for like 3 bucks, and it works pretty well. I just have to reattach it every time I put on the seat belt...

Im glad the V has the seat belt gizmo like my Genesis has. Im tall so I dont have a problem adjusting it and its a very handy feature so you dont have to reach way back to grab the belt.

I heard that the plastic clips can break in an accident and cause the extra slack left in the seat belt to propel you forward and into the driving wheel. Although the metal clips that are along the same vein don't break and cost about the same as the plastic ones.

i feel like the V was made for me, ive never had this issue, and im about 6'2" barefoot. with my work boots that i wear every day im about 6' 3 1/2" and I've never had the issue of the seat belt thing bothering me. i didnt realize there was more than 1 position for it though, i thought it was just swing/click up into place and done.

Wow! I was not aware of that or even thought of it, but that does make sense. I have not seen the metal ones, but I will order one if I have to.

This winter I haven't really had to use the clip much. The collar on my coat has kept it off my neck.
