This is true, I guess if you REALLY want something, there's always a company that will make it... I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool to do, but just like a lot of people have said on this thread, not much increase in power, voiding the warranty, and reducing drive train reliability, it doesn't seem practical. Oh, and it would probably be pretty costly.

Yes. at this point in time, taking example from Matrix Turbokit, It will be about $3200 for the parts. and guessing about $1500-2000 in labor. That will be cheaper for me to do than to trade my car in to get a VT. Even though my car is only a month old, I have the Style/Tech Package. It will cost me about $6000-8000 to get the VT with Navigation.

Its my fault I didn't get the Turbo since I couldn't wait 1.5 weeks for one to show up at the dealerships here in San Diego.

    Milo,
You already have the CAI so wait for the TK axle back and your NA V will be complete. Enjoy what you bought. If you wanted the Turbo bad enough you would have waited, The old saying "patience is a virtue" means just that. I think you got caught up in the "I want it now" mentality. Keep the V for a year then trade up for VT if your urge doesn't subside. Remember adding the Turbo to your NA V will void your engine/drivetrain warranty. Think twice.......

    Hey guys-

Would it be more feasible to add a turbo to a M/T NA V, than say the DCT? I know the DCT wouldn't be able to handle the extra torque... but would this problem be prevalent on the M/T?

    Thanks,

    NVB

Cool, thanks for your response. What (if any) disadvantages mechanically would I be dealing with with the addition? (aside from the obvious loss of warranty and the $$ it costs)

I want one. All depends on cost and power output. I would love to have the Cosworth 1.6L 400HP 350FT of torque in mine.

The only thing I believe has gone unaddressed would be "tuning". I've yet to see options available out there, be it piggyback, replacement CPU or reflashed OEM CPU..

Yoy can get a piggy back as of a month ago, it's 200$ and it boost it up to 20 to 30hp, but it's only learning off the current ecu. I'm planning on fitting civic 1.6 Turbo on the v, but someone needs to tune it right. But it's such a rare car and little community I dought will see it soon but you never know with all the new sema cars

here, looks sketchy. but apparently people are using it with success on the accent or some other hyundai car and its the exact same one. It just learns your driving style and improves it, i wouldn't expect much, but it could be worth it if anyone had 200 to try,
