No More Yellow Velosters???

Bought a 26.2 veloster in mid January. Does anyone know how many that were made for the US.

Yellow is rare especially with tech. And it is even rarer with manual tranny.

Mine is has the style with the dct. Loving the fact that their isnt alotof yellow ones.

I am in search of a yellow veloster with a 6speed and tech package. According to my local dealer there are NONE in the country and there are NONE showing up as yellow on incoming reports from Hyundai. Is this true? Did Hyundai stop making yellow Velosters???

If anyone knows where a yellow tech 6spd veloster is, please let me know!

when you say 6 spd, do you mean manual? The DCT are also 6 speed....
I search Fitzgerald Auto Mall that has locations in a couple states and they have 3 with varying degrees of equipment:

Yes, the op is looking for a manual - Not owner's manual but manual transmission.

BTW, the OP bought a black one. He plans to trade it in for a yellow turbo model later on.

I'd think twice about going to Patrick Hyundai in Schaumberg. Went to look at one last month and noone aknowledged we were there for twenty minutes, THEN their customer relations manager came out and asked what he could do, Told him the color I wanted and he says here i'll take your number and if we get one in i'll call ya...... needless to say we went back to Rockford and the otherhalf ordered hers...

If I recall correctly, the color poll on this forum showed 7% of members owned yellow.
According to Hyundai 20% of velosters in USA are manual.
Using those numbers I can estimate that ...
.2 X .07 = .014
about 1 in 100 velosters will be yellow with stick shift.
So my tech package yellow stick is probably 1 in 500 Velosters, if one in 5 yellow Velosters had tech package.

It's the same as me in Australia. I originally had a hard on for the green until I saw the yellow in person and it blew me away.

My advice is do what I did and search the stocklists of every dealer around. Thats how I found the Australian equivalent called Veloster Plus in Sunflower yellow in manual. Pick it up Tuesday!

They have a vitamin c with style but i didn't look at it to see what the tranny was.

Doubt they have a v-c with style as they ONLY come with style AND tech.

I'm waiting on delivery of a yellow 6spd with style and tech. When the dealer did a search he found 2. One in St Louis and the other in Columbus. He was able to secure the one in Columbus. They are leaving tomorrow to pick it up. I will take delivery Friday. Merry Christmas to me! I'm sooo pumped.

Sadly no yellow turbos in the US or I probably would have selected one to replace my lemon law'd 2012 black/red veloster. Instead I replaced it with a copper Santa Fe, which while it runs/drives ok, has other nagging issues that Hyundai cannot seem to get fixed (bad fuel gauge readings, bad mpg readings, bad distance to empty readings, etc.)

My V is a yellow one with both style /tech packages n its a 6 speed manual. I had to wait about a month for it but was worth it.

Three days after a received my 2013 6spd yellow tech. I was filling it up for the first time. After topping off the tank. I went inside to buy a couple of sodas for me and my buddy. I guy came in the story and asked me if that was my yellow sports car. he then told me an old man backed into it. I about puked. He backed into the right side of the rear bumper. It cracked it and the black diffuser panel. Both have to be replaced. The dealership ordered the parts and paint. Being shipped from Korea. It goes into the shop this Thursday morning. Should have it back Saturday. Old guys insurance took full responsibility. I got the check yesterday for the repairs. It just sickened me this happened. With 6spd yellow techs being so rare. I have full faith in my dealer to restore it to original. I love my V. I love the way it handles. BTW the repair was $1200.
