but it does help the dct's , i performed a re learning this morning on one of the velosters in the yard and i find it performs alot better, without the new learnings i find that the dct is very sloppy and feels like it almost slips when your in drive from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 3rd , with this re learning i noticed a big difference

i get my updates from, https://dealer.hyundaicanada.com/

Would this info be ONLY for those that want to use the "switch over" to standard mode on the DCT? I have only experience with automatic transmission and need to know that the Veloster DCT will not require other knowledge to drive as an automatic.

So is this something I should ask my dealer to do - I'm going in in a couple of days to have them look at the infamous Tranny noise issue with my DCT. Should they do this as well?

its just a tsb stating how to reprogram the DCT if, in the event you need to or the tranny is replaced. It not necessarily anything important except to the tech installing it.

As of yesterday, the Hyundai Service Website does seem to be showing a firmware update for DCT Velosters:

No. Available ECU Upgrade TSB Campaign
    258 FS DCT TCM UPDATE

but there is no tsb or campaign associated with it. If you look at some of the others, they have put it there to hold its spot, but nothing is there. Just like the YF HEV...aka sonata hybrid...looks like they have an upgrade to help with the slight shudder between the power transfer between gas and electric motor...but there is nothing there yet.
