RayRay: It's not that hard to do. Find yourself a good welder and he/she should be able to weld 3 SS pipes into one easily enough. Don't go with a cheap grade of steel. You can then polish them yourself or even have them sent somewhere to chrome them out. No idea on the cost but if I were to do it mysel, cost to make is minimal. Not so when you are paying someone to do it. Now if you are talking rolled finish then yeah it's gonna be expensive. If I were you I would design on paper first and take it to several notable welding places. Good luck.

RayRay: I'll do you one better...let me see if I can get some SS from somebody and maybe I'll do it for you. You're not in a hurry are you? You'll have to polish it though. Don't know if I can get any SS for free but let me check.

RayRay: Not asking for payment...but thx anyway...might make you pay for mailing it to you though. I haven't had any luck finding SS piping for free. Have some patience with me for a short amount of time and I'll get some from somewhere. I might do a mock up in regular steel 1st...maybe powdercoat it just to see what it looks like. Just out of curiousity do you have a way to cut the piping if I leave it longer than required? I'm on the road right now for about 30 days or so.

    TurboVark:

I don't have a way of doing it myself but I'm sure I could find a shop here that could cut it for me and install. I'm in awe of your "coolness". Again, thank you very much and I would be more than happy to pay for the shipping.

RayRay: Can't find any SS round but I did get some SS square tubing. I'm still looking for the round somewhere. Might cut the square just to see what it looks like. If I do I'll send you pix. vr,

RayRay: I started looking at the setup of our exhaust. I believe a quad square tip would look better and fill up the hole better. However 3 or 4 makes no difference to me. Do you plan on keeping the stock exhaust? Reason I ask is that there are 2 pipes coming out of the stock muffler which would put one pipe per two square extensions. If you are going to a single pipe I would need to know what size diameter you will end up with...otherwise I'l go with the 2 stock diameters. If all goes well I'll get them cut this week and I'll send you a photo of 3 and 4.

RayRay: I cut the SS into 4 pieces. Attached (I hope) are several photo's. The one with the tape shows how the finished product should look. The zebra stripes will be cut away and the dashed lines will be welded up. With 4 square pipes across it is 8 inches. As soon as I get back home (taking off shortly), and when I can get the car away from my wife I'll look at placement. Do you have a turbo or NA? I don't think the exhaust locations are any different but I don't know. Can you climb under the back of your car and measure the distance between the two exhaust pipes...from inside to inside will be fine (measure pipes not tips).

Ray Ray by the way I'm starting to like these and may do an extra set for our car as well. I think once they are polished up they are going to look great. Do you have a die grinder? It's a lot of work but they'll be beautiful.

I like the look. It's different and I think it'll fit in just right. I'm sorry to say, I don't have a die grinder. I ask around at work and see if anyone has one I can use. If not, I'm sure I can take it to a shop if need be. I'll be sure to get those measurements from pipe to pipe and get that back to you. I have the Style Package veloster (non turbo). By the way, what does NA mean?

NA stands for naturally aspirated. Ok, well as much as I really don't want to I might try to polish them up for you...man are you gonna owe me if I do (don't worry I won't ask for any money except shipping)! My air compressor is on the blitz right now so I may have to go to my father in laws house to use his. RayRay I'm going to do some other things to this setup to make them fit and look better. It will take some time ok? I realize they look a little rough now in the pictures that will change. In addition you are going to have to trim the plastic diffuser in the back of the car with a dremel tool. The stock exhaust has the plastic diffuser in the back made for 2 round pipes. There are several ways to do this and I don't know if you are comfortable doing that kind of stuff (ie cutting up your stock diffuser). It's very easy to do especially if you make a temp plate. If you'll notice the Triton guys cut their's out as well. I think they didn't conform it well to the pipes but that's just my .02. Are you going to be ok doing all that?

Yes, I'm okay with that. I think it's all going to look great! I will owe you...haven't figured out how yet but I will get you back. I know you're not asking for anything but "right is right". Thanks again for everything!

Sorry I haven't responded sooner with those measurements. It's been a little hectic lately with my work/travel schedule. I should be back home by Saturday so I'll get on that this weekend.

    Thanks

The GRiP units will soon be released officially. We will have more detailed information and pricing for these units. In addition, we have the Veloster NA units and Body kits in stock

RayRay: Just got back home from an extended trip. I'll try to get them cut down this weekend. I'll still have to get to my father in laws to get the rest done though. Haven't gotten my air compressor fixed yet.
