does this void any warranties? Can you un-bypass this?
To those with the safety concerns, while I am not supporting the idea that playing videos while driving is a safe or good thing to do .. what I will say is that I find the phone contact navigation system on the display *FAAAAAAR* more distracting while driving, its so clumsy to find a contact my eyes and concentration are off the road for several moments.
Yet phone contact browsing is allowed while driving - it shouldn't be.
Hyundai Australia shoula have brought the V in with hands-free voice dialing.
2011 Sunflower Veloster Plus DCT
"Averaging 6 headturns a day ..."
I press the setup button next to the "seek Track" button.
When I hold the setup button for a length of time, I get a screen with the firmware ID's.
It doesn't matter how long I hold it there is no way to enter anything.
What am I doing wrong?
I am in Australia, maybe our Veloster's are configured differently?
I have tried to enter the code too but unfortunatley it seems I have the updated firmware too. I am hoping there is someone out there that has found a way around this.. any ideas guys?
I really can't understand this preoccupation with playing video WHILE DRIVING
1. It's friggin downright dangerous (and don't anyone argue that it isn't)
2. If the police slide up alongside your car you're gone for a $280+ fine.
3. Suggest you get a mini-iPad .. it'll play videos and more (problem solved !)
4. Enjoy the car for what it is .. a great drive
hey if I could do this on my VT I would, it would simply keep the passengers in my car entertained on long journeys. but I have the 2013 aus vt and I haven't tried but what I can see from other aus members isn't looking like it'll work!
If the purpose is to keep the passengers entertained why not get a mini iPad or one of those cheap video players with two screens attached to your back seats ... C'mon mate we all know that is not the real reason
Btw my understanding is that the video is turned off by the position of the handbrake .. when the car is stopped, pulling up the hb turns the video on (you don't even need to get past the first notch) ... I'll let you experiment with the rest of the equation![]()
yer that makes sense, go buy something for the odd occasion when I have passengers and don't use the screen my car comes with! why didn't I think of that! I'd hate for my car to have another inbuilt feature that'd be the worst...
mate there are enough distractions for a driver nowadays ... yea, go ahead, add another by displaying video in full view of the driver ... and yea he'll never look at the screen. Explain that when you've run a red light.
FGS dude get over it ... next you'll want to drive your car into the cinema lol
btw I've had a video screen that a driver can view in a previous car .. the installer got past the issue by installing a cut-off switch that I could flick to deactivate the handbrake switch ... I could even watch TV on it (with varying degrees of reception) ... AND YES IT WAS A DISTRACTION !!

SRobz you're so right! I have no self control and what would I ever do if I did get this?? it would be crazy! there's no possible way anyone could have self control and use it for what they intend! but drive in movies just around the corner from my house this weekend.. hmm wonder what ill see great suggestion. thanks buddy.
^^^
well that's great mate .. good to see that you've finally ditched the idea of turning your car into a mini Hoyts cinema
Now you can get into the car, full attention on the road and enjoy a great drive in a mighty fine automobile
btw turn up the stereo to 32 and bump up the bass
cya
