    Cool GarageLine.com: TurboXS Veloster Turbo Developement


    Hello Veloster Community! We at GarageLine feel like now is a perfect opportunity to introduce ourselves and what we have been working on for the Veloster Turbo. After great success on the Genesis Coupe we thought the Veloster would be a great platform for the customers that wanted a strong competitor in the Hot Hatch department.

    The car is a 2013 Veloster Turbo with DSG. We wasted no time with jumping into this project. With only a few hundred miles on it we have bolted it to the dyno.

    Stock Veloster Turbo Dyno:



    Veloster Turbo Dyno with Downpipe Dump ONLY:



    The reason why we tried this one for two reasons. One it was fun and two we were curious how much power a well designed exhaust system potentially gain on a stock car. Now we have a target we will work to achieving at least these type of gains with a nice muffler to keep the tone to reasonable level.

    As you can see we saw gains every where from as little at 11whp to as much as 40whp Gain in some places along with 3ft lbs and up to 40 ft. lbs as well.

    Keep in mind this is without a reflash, so the results can get better!

    how the hell does it have that much wtq lol and damnnnnn the auto sucks power out thats like 25% loss.. it's not a DSG though

    HOWEVER the gains are mighty nice

    Damn... Injen's dyno showed 165 to the wheels.. 20 HP difference from auto to manual?

    We haven't had a Manual on the dyno yet. So it will be good to take a look to see what happens.

    Nice. Any ETA on the intake and will there be a CAI also? What else is being planned?

    Real good improvement over stock just for a downpipe dump. This is the very reason I would still prefer 3" turbo back as opposed to a 2.5" turbo back.

    once you guys have established a good understanding of the VT, will you also be taking a look at the V n/t?

    Hopefully 1 month for the Intake. Plans are as follows:

    Intake, Downpipe, Catback, Intercooler Upgrade and Front Mount.

    Downpipe and Intake are off for production. We should see them in house very soon.

    Not yet, hard to set pricing without completed units. They will be more than reasonable for sure.

    Are their advantages of using some of these parts for a non-turbo VELOSTER? Will you run dyno's on a non-turbo VELOSTER to capture that segment of market as well for parts which may improve a non-turbo VELOSTER?

    What size is the dp and I'm guessing it deletes the cat? Also the size of the catback?

    3 inch to 2.5 on the Downpipe to fit with the stock exhaust properly
    2.5 on the catback

    Full 3 inch would be over kit for a 1.6
