The last video is just the catback only. We will have a few options for the sound level. This current one is the catback without a resonator in the midpipe.

Over the years what I have learned about exhaust systems is that DB level doesn't tell the story. It's the tone or the frequency of the exhaust note. In the car it isn't loud at all. Remember when you are driving the car you aren't hanging behind the car with a camera. We will have videos up tomorrow of some in car sound clips.

very true i'm just going for legality reason and the cobalt RFL didnt sound that loud in the video but holy **** in person lol

So the development continues building a proper Exhaust for the Veloster Turbo is a pretty tricky feat, reason being if that the engine is has a very buzzy engine note. Can’t expect much from a 1.6 liter. So it has taken a lot of effort to minimize this buzzy nature and keep the exhaust tone quality high. While yes we could have a done a completely straight through system it would ultimately sound horrifically loud and no one wants a car that sounds that way on a daily basis.

So the TurboXS solution was to build a specific muffler that uses reflection to shape the exhaust tone in and outside the car. Here is a sneak peek at what we have done to achieve our results.

Ive heard the fiat 500 abarth has a pretty decent exhaust note for a 1.4l. Any idea how they accomplished that?

I want my car to sound like sex then! If we have a 1.6l then it should be able to reproduce that sound the Abarth makes. See if you guys can get a hold of their exhaust and see what they did to it!

Full S/S catback I would suspect would be in the $600'ish range. TurboXS Genesis catbacks are around that price.
