VT's delayed another 10 weeks in Canada?

Hello forum.

I just spoke to my nearby Hyundai delear and was told that they received word that delivery is delayed for 10 weeks!

I did my test drive on Aug 9 and called occasionally to find out about the VIN#.
Todays started my 8th week (par for the course from reading the forums) I was just told that I'll be waiting until December.

Has anybody else checked on their Canadian order (Quebec specifically for me) or maybe North America?
Anybody else waiting in the wings and have gotten the same news?

My local dealer here had a Pearl Grey on the lot for the last week and they told me on Friday that they had a Matte Grey a the ship yard waiting for delivery. Didn't seem like any of them were claimed either. My dealer said he's trying to get the Pearl Gray as his demo car.... talk about a great to car to have as a demo!

I am in ontario and got the same news last week, I ordered a light grey pearl in july, what colour are you waiting for?

I wish I could see the pearl gray in person. I'm sure the pics don't do it justice if it's anything like the pearl white.

Was waiting for Ultra black.

The worst part is, I said no to a black one intially.
I ordered Triathlon grey only to find out a day later that that specific config wasn't available in Canada when the order got rejected.

Dealer dropped the ball on that, I believe he should have caught that the second I mentionned it.

I just can't wait another 10 weeks.

When I first saw the Pearl Gray in pictures I didn't like it at all. After seeing it in person my opinion quickly changed! If I were in the market for a Turbo I think this color would be at the top of my list!

Last time I was at the Hyundai dealership in West Edmonton, they had 3 VT's on the lot. That was 3 weeks ago. Dunno if they're sold but maybe your local dealership can get it shipped to them?

I only remember that one was black and one was white, don't remember what the 3rd one was.

Indeed, but that's something the salesperson should have caught immediately.
I ended up saying no to a black one as I was under the impression that what I wanted actually existed.

In Ontario, I know a guy that ordered a month before you (in early July) and only just got the car late last week.
And I know of someone else that ordered about a week after him and his car is still 3 weeks out.

So yeah it looks like the delivery time has gone beyond the usual 3 months timeframe.

I ordered July 26th and after 8 weeks of waiting was told it will be another 12. That is 5 months. What coluors did they order?

Wow hearing this about availability really sucks. I was under the impression they overestimated demand when I went to pick my VT back in July and their were half a dozen unclaimed VTs in the Sauga dealership I went to and then in August when I was in the King-Cross dealership I saw a few there as well on display (unclaimed as well I think). At that time I was feeling kinda down that my beloved VT wasn't getting owners to love =( I hope things get better soon for everyone waiting on one!

On a side note, I wish they had the blue trimmed seats for the Blue VT =(

One was blue. The other I don't quite remember. It seems like early July was the time to order.. after that the demand just went nuts and with the amount of pressure that they were getting to ship them down to the States and to the rest of the world, I guess production just isn't keeping up.

Guess I'd better check. Have a red V ordered three weeks with the promise of 4-6 weeks. Now I.m worried. I am in Vancouver BC.

I just ordered a Vitamin C VT yesterday in Ontario. I was told today that it is already on a boat and I should have it in 4 weeks.

Ordered 2 weeks ago, I guess I'll call them in another 2 and see where it's at but they estimated 4-6 weeks for me

Note it could depend also a lot on your colour and what transmission you go with. It seems like people looking for manuals have an easier time (just based on my personal observations, not sure).
