I've been searching for a VitC manual/ultimate and can't find anything in Southern California. I'm willing to travel and bring it home... I found one near Portland OR but they want MSRP+$2k (!) claiming the color rare-enough to warrant a premium. That seems absurd.

vit c color "rare" tell them to stuff it, if it was matte, then that would almost be true. the dealers pulling this $hit should lose their franchise. they're definitely giving hyundai a bad rep.

I would guess someone at Hyundai or another dealer just told him to stop posting the inventories. Really bad timing for me too. I'm getting pretty frustrated trying to locate a manual. I may just go with a GTI. The mpg are now basically on par with the VT but I'd still rather find a VT.

Agreed. I walked away more diplomatically (instead of "stuff it" I called them "delusional"). As it turns out, we have since come to an agreement and I'm flying up there this weekend to take possession of my new car. I get to enjoy a two-day road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. I believe that's the way every car should be broken in...!

don't sweat the chuck/spreadsheet thing, you have to remember that it's not chucks job to post this stuff, more like a hobby and a little entertainment. sometimes life gets hectic and you don't have time to do stuff like this, maybe for a few weeks, maybe a few months. i really don't think it has anything to do with his with his job, it's only important information to us, doesn't disrupt sales, actually enhances it, it's almost like free advertising for the knucklhead dealers.
all i can say is i hope the best for chuck, whatever the case, he was solid for doing this for so long, he hooked us up with some great information. and when you think about it, it's really what any good salesman should be doing. maybe he wouldn't be showing you the complete allocation, but he should be telling you whats in your region and actively make it happen. i had to do it myself and it happened much quicker than any salesman would have done.
i've got a feeling chuck 'll be back soon. a month or two ago he was m.i.a. for a week or two.

you might want to give customer connect a call, no guarantees but you might get some info. especially if you gave them a deposit. they can be very helpful or just kind of helpful. doesn't hurt to try. also get on twitter, send a tweet to john what's his name (hyundai pres.) he does check his tweets and you will hear back from customer connect on there. good luck.

My Vit C manual, ultimate should have arrived at the dealer over the weekend, and I hope to come home with it on Tuesday. I guess I missed out on the MPG money (even though I ordered this car back in August), but I'm still pretty pumped!

Hey rt44, How is your paint holding up? Planet Hyundai keeps trying to convince me not to get the Matte, Now they are saying previous customers are disappointed in how it's holding up but I think it's a scam to get me to buy what ever they have on the lot. What do you think?
