    Turbo V pricing ?

    Hi Gang,

Lets assume that the loaded VT will be $26000 cdn, add the 13% tax (ontario) = $29380. Then the financing rate at the current 2.6% for 60 months, $763per year. This will be approximately $33,199 for the TurboV.
My wife says that there are a lot of choices for that price range, and if i get something at 0%, that would be better.

    I'm confused!!
I actually can get a 2 yr old lexus IS250 at 1.9% financing which will be cheaper than the Turb V.
Or Subaru with AWD is an option...
The mitsubishi ralliart is at 0.9% financing for 60months starting at $33,398

    ???

Factor in what you get for what price.
Some cars will have navigation. Some cars will have better gas mileage. Some will have cheaper insurance. Some will have more luggage space. Some will be faster.
It's about what fits your needs.
For me, i'd really like a quick fuel efficient hatchback. With all the media controls and options the VT has, it seems right for me.
If I needed AWD, then a VT obviously wouldn't be an option.

Sure there are lots of other cars in the price range, but really how many of them offer the same options for that price? A loaded VW GTi for example optioned similar to a Turbo Veloster is about $33k plus freight/tax/pdi etc. you get a lot of car for the estimated $26k asking price. All the other fees you will pay on any new vehicle you buy.

    It's more than that.

$26,000 (Fully loaded with auto MSRP)
    $1,565 (Delivery and Destination)
    $130 (A/C tax, etc.)

    $31,295.35

Of course, this is at MSRP, fully loaded (assuming there are packages) and with automatic. Not sure how much of a discount off MSRP one can get, especially with a new car that has plenty of demand (not sure if its price point).

And yes, there are many many other options out there once you pass the $25,000 price bracket.

Also consider the warranty :P You're not gonna get the same warranty with other cars.

So what can we assume pricing will be in the states? 26k + delivery $700 + 6% sales tax in PA 1500 = $28,260?

If a fully loaded VT in Canada is $26,000, I'd wager a fully loaded VT in the US is $24,500 tops.

I would hope they don't break to high above 23k or they will do the same thing to the turbo that they have done to the Genesis Coupe. The Hyundai dealer down here in Texas is expecting to get them in at 22k and fully loaded at 23.5K. So financing and everything on top of that. He is worried that these cars will sit on his lot just like the Gennies do, I don't know it all depends on how good the car really is.

I think the Veloster Turbo will be around 22000$-24000 CAD$, if any higher, then I don't think its worth it. We have to wait some more months until we see the price.

Well considering a Veloster Tech with the DCT is $24K, a turbo definately wont be priced lower lol.

Maybe the Veloster Turbo 6 speed manual will be priced $24k, and the Automatic $25-26K.
We have to wait and see.

If they were just adding the turbo, I would think it would be only about $1,500 more than the regular Veloster (similar to the difference in the Sonata SE vs SE 2.0t (1,550) and Limited vs Limited 2.0t (1,750)... BUT with the other equipment that is added, I'm thinking more like $2,500.

    The Turbo also gets:
New exterior color – a Hyundai-first: Matte Gray paint
    • Turbo interior exclusive: Graphite Black interior with Blue Metallic accents and headliner graphics
    • Unique 18-inch alloy wheels with chrome inserts
    • Projection headlights with unique LED headlight accents and unique LED taillights
    • Side mirrors with turn signal indicators
    • Supervision instrument cluster
    • Leather seating surfaces with driver’s lumbar support
    • Heated front seats
    • Proximity key with pushbutton start
    • 7-in. multimedia touch screen
    • Dimension® premium audio system with 8 speakers
    • Quicker ratio steering rack and revised steering calibration for precise cornering, feedback and control
    • Kumho Solus KH25 215/40R18 85V tires for the best performance without compromising the ride

It gets pretty hot here during the summer. I wish Hyundai could have left the leather seats as an option. I wouldn't mind giving that and the seat-heater up for something like an LSD. Maybe possibly in an R-Spec trim?
