    The Turbo also gets:
New exterior color – a Hyundai-first: Matte Gray paint
    • Turbo interior exclusive: Graphite Black interior with Blue Metallic accents and headliner graphics
    • Unique 18-inch alloy wheels with chrome inserts
    • Projection headlights with unique LED headlight accents and unique LED taillights
    • Side mirrors with turn signal indicators
    • Supervision instrument cluster
    • Leather seating surfaces with driver’s lumbar support
    • Heated front seats
    • Proximity key with pushbutton start
    • 7-in. multimedia touch screen
    • Dimension® premium audio system with 8 speakers
    • Quicker ratio steering rack and revised steering calibration for precise cornering, feedback and control
    • Kumho Solus KH25 215/40R18 85V tires for the best performance without compromising the ride
A base turbo will be substantially higher than a base NA Veloster, but a fully loaded won't be much higher than a fully loaded NA Veloster. This is because the NA Veloster has 2 packages, whereas the Turbo only has one additional package.

The Turbo's ULTIMATE package is basically a tech package with a sunroof. That being said, since the style and tech packages are $2000 each, so I'm guessing the Ultimate will be $2500 or $3000.

With the turbo upgrade and additional equipment, I assume you'll be looking at about $3500 more base vs base, then for the one package $2500 - $3000 more.

    Using those figures:

    Base Turbo: $20,800
    Fully Loaded: $23,800

For the manual of course, w/o destination.

I'm thinking the VT will start @ around 25k-26k (auto) and will come nicely equipped. The VT will most likely have "style like" options standard w/ a "tech like" package being optional. Kinda hard to imagine the VT being priced at $25k....The Mazda MS3 starts @ just under 24k. The Dodge SRT-4 started @ $20k back in its day while EVOs and STi's started in the very high 20's.....As many others have stated, each of the cars just mentioned offers some things while lacking others that justifies its price...The Dodge SRT-4, for example, offered power and torque at an amazing value (EPA est gas mileage wasn't bad either...22/30 i believe).....but the SRT lacked refinement and tech options......

^ that is going into genesis coupe territory...the turbo will not sell at that price point.

I'm guessing, like others prior in the post, it will be starting at that 20k mark and may go up to 24k

Exactly. No way it STARTS at 25K-26K. Hyundai themselves said the VT would not crowd the Genesis coupe. I'm sure they mean by both power and price. If anything, it would be the GC starting at 25K.

We can give educated guesses all day long, but official pricing won't be out until a few days before they go on order for the dealerships. The V Turbo will definitely overlap with the Gen Coupe in pricing, as it already barely does (an auto with style/tech stickers for $23,500 with destination & the usual accessories - the base Gen Coupe is $23,400). I know it's apples to oranges with loaded vs base - but it's an overlap...just like a "loaded" Accent overlaps base Elantra, loaded Elantra overlaps base Sonata...Sonata/Azera, Azera/Genesis.

Looking at the specs, the "base" Turbo will be similar to the Style Pkg non turbo, but deleting the panoramic sunroof and adding the proximity key from the Tech package, then add in all the Turbo exclusive features:
    Turbo Engine
    Leather/Heated Seats
    Mirrors w/Turn Signal Indicators
Projection Headlights with unique LED Accents
    LED Taillights
    Unique ground effects/side skirts

So, minus $1,000 no sunroof, + $1,500 for the Turbo, plus the other equipment has to be over $1,000 - so that will put it at least $1,500 over the non-Turbo Style package MSRP of $20,100 (stick, including destination) and that puts you at $21,600+ (maybe squeeze in just under 21, PLUS destination of $775).

Then add the Ultimate package (tech package plus sunroof, minus the already standard proximity key) and that has to be another $2,500+... so conservatively that puts it at $24,100 - more likely pushing $25k particularly after adding accessories (mats, cargo net, cargo tray, wheel locks etc).

Then add another $1,000 if you want the automatic.

So prob $21 to $25 plus destination and accessories.

I was thinking, that if the price range ends up in the Genesis coupe range... how many of us will still buy the VT, for the fact that the genesis is rear wheel drive and staggered tire setup and falls into another catagory of cars.

Here in canada, the genesis coupe is 0% financing. but the car does not fit my need.
If the VT is over priced, i may just settle for something else.

Isn't the new GenCoupe's MSRP more than last years? Perhaps the VT makes the GenCoupe get a small price bump.

We estimate new Genesis Coupe will start around $27,000 in Canada.

it'll be interesting to see how this pricing scheme turns out....lots of educated estimates in this thread. I have a hard time believing that an entry level VT would be priced the same as an optioned out DCT N/A (considering that the VT will prob come nicely equipped standard).....Also, with the mpg estimates of the VT being nearly identical to the N/A, why would any us of even consider the N/A over the VT? I mean the tech package is nice, but i don't need that stuff.....The 2013 Veloster pricing structure in general could be changed.....Maybe certain options that are currently available on the 2012 will only be available on the turbo...This would effectively lower the N/A's max price, which would allow the VT's price to sit nicely between the N/A and GC....others have questioned the VT's price exceeding 25-26k b/c it would move into GC range. i dont think that matters too much b/c the VT and GC are two different vehicles. The GC makes more power and is more of a "sports car" with lower gas mileage...The VT is more practical in design and in the mpg dept....Insurance costs between the two vehicles will prob be quite different as well....

Wow I havent checked this forum in a few months and its really come far. Im also waiting to see the pricing for the turbo version. Ive had my eye on another car as well so it will come down to the final price. If they get to high its an automatic no duh to go for the other car with more power etc and gently used. Im deff gonna keep my eyes open here! I really love this little car.
Waiting patiently for the Turbo version! Vroom Vroom!

Since when does price coincide with hp? If that was the case, the Mini Cooper, FRS/BRZ, GTI, Civic Si, etc, etc, etc would all be rip off.

If you want details on equipment on the Turbo, go here: Newsroom - Hyundai Motor America then click FEATURES to see details of what is standard/optional, and use the other links for pics & more details.

With the N/A V selling well as it is, I can't see Hyundai dropping features and making them Turbo exclusive.

True but those that wait for the best deals get rip off cars at great prices. My Si I got under MSRP with most of the fees waved. Sticker price was 23K I ended up paying 21.5K after all financing and fees. The 07 GTP I got a similar deal but not as good. Your point is still very true and not all purchases are lucky like I've been able to be. I have no idea if I can work the same magic in the future. I just consider myself lucky.

With none of the features and options the Velo has, poor fuel economy and high insurance rates. And it is still about $3K USD more then a Turbo Velo will be.

The prices that some of us CANADIANS are quoting is in our monopoly money CANADIAN dollars, not Team America Fcuk Yeah! dollars.
