Hey DD, how about a HID relay buzz fix already?

I know you guys were working on one, but that was a while ago. It's kind of annoying not being able to drive at night randomly.

Bump for answer. Lights went out until I tapped the relay... not sure about the relay quality...

Switched out the relay I got from DD for this one, the quality feels better. It's heavier and the connections are higher quality. We'll see if it stops the random buzzing...

Are people having a lot of problems with these 1.6? It seems like this isn't the only post I've seen about this. If I'm going to do an HID conversion I'd like to install em and forget about em. If they are finicky I may just have to hold off. Can't risk headlights not working.

How'd this one work for you? I put a capacitor on mine and I think I switched the polarity... and it started smoking. Not sure if the cap blew or the relay. Thinking about swapping out the relay.

Might be a good idea 1.6 to PM the guys at DD because there's a chance they may not have seen this post.

I replaced the relay with one from advance auto parts and never had an issue again. If your having issues call DD they are extremely easy to work with and will take care of you.

We just figured it out! If you are NOT using a relay, you will have to upgrade to our premium can-bus HYLUX ballasts. this will cease the buzzing/flickering of the HIDs. If you are using a relay, you will have to purchase one of our Warning Cancellars and place it before the relay, after the factory harness. If anyone has questions, please PM me or give me a call at (314) 205 3033.

You really just need to not use the cheap relay provided and buy a quality one. DD should really consider changing brands instead of wanting you to spend even more when itis not necessary. $25 dollars added to my order to pay for their mistake of shipping wrong bulbs and for a new relay. Not really seeing quality or customer service from DD.
