Just picked up my car two days ago. I've been dreaming of the VT since seeing the base model on display at the Detroit Auto Show two years ago. Finally placed my order three months ago. I had a very specific car in mind, thus the long wait. Apparently (for now) I have the only non-nav Blue VT with MT in the US. LOVE IT!!! Will be getting windows tinted next week, along with a remote start kit. Future plans include an HID conversion, 20" rims, and hopefully chip flash if/when it becomes available. I'm excited to get into the community and make use of the pool of knowledge here.

Welcome and yep, it's a lot of fun to have a unique car! In 1985 I had an Escort GT Turbo and lived in L.A. Turns out Ford only made 5 Turbo Escorts that year. Most fun was arriving at the Emmy Awards in 1986 and the Valet -who was parking expensive and exotic cars all afternoon, took my keys and said, "cool car!". The least fun was when only 3 months later the Turbo bearing fried on the 101 offramp and I limped home blowing black smoke all the way thru Hollywood. Yep, it was a "cool car" but also a piece of crap. It's taken 28 years to even think about another Turbo, but like you I saw my Black Veloster Turbo on the lot and my knees literally buckled.
