    VT owner in Wyoming

Bought a silver base VT with the automatic this past Thursday. Other cars are a 99 Miata and a Nissan Frontier crewcab. I will probably be selling the Miata this spring (albeit a little sadly). The Veloster will be driven a good deal by my wife. So far I like the car although I have mixed feelings in regards to the auto. This is the first auto I have owned since sometime in the early 80's

You will get used to the auto. I drove a manual for 30 years and Nissan Frontier 4 door was my first automatic. Occasionally, I would step on the non-existant clutch! Even two years after that!

What hurts is going for the non-existent clutch and hitting the wide brake pedal. Ouch!

Welcome - test-drove the auto VT, but waited for the manual. Traded a manu-matic Benz for it. So glad I got the manual (all our other cars are manuals, but da hubby's truck is auto...).

You will love the car. I really enjoyed test-driving the autobox, but wanted to switch back to clutching for daily driving.
