    1st Service and not impressed

Well just had my first service and not impressed. The following day my wife ran out of washer fluid. If they don't top that up (which you pay for) what else goes unchecked. So now I decide to check engine oil and find it ~3/4" overfilled, not sure if that is an issue or not with this car. My last car a Toyota was always serviced by a large Toyota dealership and they went above and beyond with their service. This is a dissapointment as I loved the car and the sales experience was fantastic. Might have to go try another dealership for service jobs. Hope this is not a Hyundai failing.

That is definitely a dealership failing and not a Hyundai flaw. The dealership that I take my car to always takes excellent care of it.

    Sailor,

Take it back to service and have them correct the oil level, to MUCH oil will cause a foaming conditon and reduce the effective lubricating ability of oil.
This service dept. should have known better. The V takes 3.5 qts with filter change.
Another reason I do most of my own service.

What dealer? Some are better then others. The dealer that I purchased my cars from I would never recommend but Perforance Hyundai in St Catharines has been great.

Address that to the manager so they can bring that up to the employees, there are good mechanics and there are bad ones and they have to know about this. I would tell them that I don't trust them and will be all over their ass is they F**k up like that and after they service it,park your car in front of the main window, open the hood and let them see you checking your car all over,it might draw some attention.

Sometimes it is a matter of competition. There are at least 5 Hyundai dealerships within 25 miles of me. None of them want to lose a customer after the sale. I have heard nothing but great things from other local Hyundai owners about the service they receive -- no matter which dealership they bought from. One of my best friends just bought from one dealership (because they gave the best deal on a new Sonata) but will take it in for service to the same dealership I go to because it closest, and has used them for the past five years with the previous Sonata. AND the head service manager bought a Veloster, too! So I hope that helps when I look for understanding!
