Secret menu navigation system/ setting display brightness

I am looking for info if someone has sneeked a secret menu for the V navigation system. The reason why I am asking is that although I have set up the lowest brightness I feel the display being too bright at night and perhaps there is a way to setup the display brightness lower than the lowest factory setting.

There is no such menu other than the Service Menu in the existing Audio threads http://www.veloster.org/forum/35-hyu...o-electronics/

It is only available in the older firmware with the red concept car splash screen, not 2013 cars or cars with updated firmware that say Veloster when booting.

Guess thats why they have the night button to turn the screen off. Because it can get annoying sometimes at night.

I cut out piece of TINT(window tint) and placed it on the screen. (for now)

It does get reflective when the sunroof is open but cuts down on the brightness at night esp when i'm watcing a movie heh

My V is a 2012, with the red concept splash screen, and it has adjustable brightness. Did Canadian cars get different software/firmware than the US models?

I've done all the things some of the Senior Members suggest and thank the gods for my short commute because it is too bright.

I started one of those "other threads" on this subject. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks the screen is too bright. To call the brightness "adjustable" is an overstatement - Hyundai really needs to fix this problem. It's really frustrating to have the screen off, only to have it light up even when adjusting the volume. Stupid software programming...

this too is a complaint of mine. luckily i rarely drive the car as it's my wife's. i've always keep the interior lighting in any car of mine very low at night. i'd like to be able to drop the lowest nav screen brightness by another 50% at least.
