Goes near the left license plate light. Which triggers my OCD complex by not being centered.

Also, Nicho, did you use the tool just like the one needed for removing the trim bezel around the radio or something similar?

Thinking about playing within that area as well but don't have that little plastic crowbar looking tool. Think something else might do the trick?

And is the bezel any looser than it was before the install? Worried a bit a about rattles.

I put mine on the right side, that way it's more centered.

Yes, I used plastic panel removal tools and taped the dash with a vinyl tape. The Dash is just as tight as it was before I removed it. Good clips from the factory and a LOT of them. Something else might work but the plastic tools are designed specifically for it. Do you have harbor freight tools new you? They sell a set for really cheap that does the job.

I do not have one nearby but have ordered from them before. Care to link the set you got?

I might as well invest in it since I'll probably use it later on for more tweaking and stuff.

Nicho, could you provide us with pictures of the finished product?

I'm really trying to see if there could be a way to just hard wire into the back of the was unit without that OEM harness. That's the only real piece necessary for it to display on that screen.

Or if that part alone came separate. Cameras themselves (and very good ones) can be found for around $50 all over the place. Having to pay $200 or more just cause of that little harness. It's driving me mad!

I just ordered this kit, and I will do my best to document the install. I paid 332.53 out the door with shipping in California.

Has anyone purchased the "license plate light" camera kit, removed the camera, and installed it into the hatch handle instead? (just a thought)
