Tiny mod for those subject to rain.

This weekend I attached clips to the trunk cover that hold an umbrella on the underside; those being a relative necessity in Washington state. Picked up the clips on Amazon for fairly cheap at $20. They are advertised as being for the Accent and Veloster. I found the posts a little shorter than I may have liked, but the metal fasteners had enough to hold on to to keep the clips in place.

    Clips:

Oh, and the umbrella in question, heh...

A view of the fasteners. I had to color them black to better match the cover since they were a standard aluminum/metal color:

When the zombie apocalypse comes I figure I can use the clips to hold an extra rifle, shotgun, or sword.

For the most part, yes. Except of course in the case of the occasional style choice. Today for example, I just went with the standard jacket with hood and didn't bother with using the umbrella. There are times when we like to do something other than the hooded jacket, hooded parka, hooded sweatshirt, hooded whatever that permeates our outerwear collections. Besides, it's Blade Runner umbrella. That automatically invalidates any anti-umbrella statement.

Heh, the link was up top: ThinkGeek :: Blade Runner Style LED Umbrella

But if I wanted a lightsaber umbrella, I'd get... ThinkGeek :: Star Wars Lightsaber Umbrellas even though it doesn't light up.

My golf umbrella (I don't play) slots neatly into the space between the passenger seat and the door post, so I can get to it before I get wet...

$20 was steep. eBay has them for less. And I have not done it cause don't like that effect of having the posts poking through.

But yeah, those clips come in handy.
