Got my update done. Decided I will never go back to this particular dealer again, because when I asked about "borrowing" the USB drive for a few minutes, the tech straight up lied and told me that that would be impossible because it was done by hooking up my headunit to a computer through bluetooth and flashing the update that way. When I mentioned that I had read the TSB he looked very angry and was speechless. So... any residents in the Colorado Springs area, don't go to Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City.

Other than this, the update seems to be working well for the clock, but my playing music off of my iPhone 5 seems to stutter now. Anyone else seeing this issue?

I had mine done this morning. It took longer than I expected, but all seems well. Hopefully the head unit will be a little less buggy for me now. Everything seemed fine on my commute into work. The only change I've noticed so far (other than the obvious Veloster startup screen), is that the album artwork has a thicker border around it now.

Yeah, a simple "I'm sorry man, I can't do that" would have been sufficient. Like Politicians, I think some Dealers LIE even when the truth would serve them better.

I would be hesitant as well to return - if they'll Lie to you about something as simple as this, what would they do for something serious?

Took the V in yesterday and got the radio TSB done. I was out in the service bay talking to the tech (buddy of mine from when I used to work there) while it was updating so I got to watch the process. The update is 1.3 GBs, so no wonder it seemed to take longer than the oil change lol. As for borrowing the USB stick, my buddy in the service drive said, "I would but it's gotta be done here. Hyundai was very specific about that, sorry man." So yeah, I tried.

Side note: I now have full Pandora integration via BT with my Droid Razr! =D

To summarize for folks walking in to the thread: between an update to the Pandora app, AND the update to the head unit that removes the concept car and replaces it with the Veloster logo, the Pandora app on Android now works.

Caveat, there is NO update for 2012 US tech cars with nav and a m/t to give them this capability, all other combos are covered. So if you have the red concept car boot screen, no Android Pandora for you!

    Missin the Tune!

So I'm all "Meh" about it one way or another.
I wasn't having any issues with my clock but was at the dealer for them to verify my mileage for the MPG refund and they offered the update. I wish I would have known before hand that I would lose my welcome tune. It's silly but I liked it and a lot of people that rode in my car commented on how unique it was. Especially since my clock kept time okay, I would have declined the update with full disclosure of what all would be affected. Wonder if I can go back and have it undone and get my welcome tune back?!

This update changed how the BT streaming works with my iPhone 5. It now does NOT take control of the iPhone - you need to select the songs on the iPhone itself. It also just says "iPhone audio" with no artwork or song title, and you can only play/pause from the head unit screen. I don;t use BT streaming myself, but if I did, I would have been pissed off at this update.

USB mode is pretty much the same. Except if you plug the phone in right when you start the car, it will sometimes bring up an error message that says something like "connecting to BT and USB at the same time causes an error...", but from what I can tell, the only problem is the error message itself LOL The phone and the USB audio both work fine every time.

I STILL have the problem where the phone starts my first song alphabetically instead of where it last left off. It doesn't seem to happen quite as often, but it's not rare.

As for the clock, I haven't noticed it drifting yet, so that's nice.

I also had the clock software update and the clock is about the only thing that is working properly now. The touch screen selections either don't respond or I get a response that I did not touch. For example, I will hit display and the theme menu will come up, or I will hit the return symbol and something else will pop up. Yes, I have tried the reset button, didn't work. I noticed the little red car was gone as well so I checked to see if other screen savers were available. That is when I discovered the glitch. I just assumed it would get better but it is getting progressively worse. 2012 dct/style btw. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. I was told to bring it back to the dealership and they may have to replace the head unit. It was working great until the software update.

I do not subscribe to the XM Radio service, but the clock update seems to have enabled it or re-activated my trial...

Ah, damn. My free trial ended a couple of days ago, but I noticed I still had like half my channels so I thought there was a little hiccup and I would be getting some free service :P
