A simple pole to be used to determine how widespread this problem might be. Granted not every Veloster has this option and not every Veloster owner is on this forum, but there are about 5000 of us, so thats at least a couple thousand Sunroof models.

Can you modify the Poll? I suggest (to get a better cross-section of Velo-Owners) adding to the "Yes" and "No" - "Not Equipped" and perhaps even "I do not own a Veloster" (as there are a few here that have not yet "taken the plunge")
Feel free to ignore or simply delete this post as you see fit - it's merely a suggestion.
Parfois, on fait pas semblant!
Not equipped and dont own are irrelevant. The roof cant explode if you dont have one and the pole is open ended so you can vote at anytime if you get one. Limiting the pole keeps the results simple.

No..and we have the panoramic roof.
Can I change my vote once I vote? The sunroof hopefully won't explode the very first day I get the car, but it may a year from now.
That might be an option I can change later. Just looking at basic numbers now for reference.

Fascinating, enlightening and insightul feature from Denver NewsChannel KMGH.
I would post the link but the story is copyrighted and prohibits redistribution. Go to KMGH and do a search for "Exploding Sunroof" or Google, "Why do Sunroofs Explode" then find the story link.
Bottom line is that it happens to ALL vehicles, ALL sunroofs, ALL high-strength glass. The feature has some very simple expert explanations as well as guidelines that are common sense and easy to follow.

I'm really disappointed. I've been waiting almost a year for mine to explode, and it just sits there looking at me.
I think we have grounds for a rock-solid class action lawsuit, guys.
I'm amazed that none of the folks with exploded sunroofs can be "bothered" to come over and answer the poll.
But this goes back to what I've said in the main thread, they come here all upset having found the thread via Google, however once they see there's no magic cause, no smoking gun for a lawsuit, no recall, and that this happens at some point to almost any model with a tempered glass sunroof, they just move on and never return.
off to the the dark side
