I'm not sure that being prepared to go inside for every instance where your windows may not work is really acceptable. Although this car is not alone in it's issues, it certainly is not anymore justified than the others. I agree that the windows shouldn't be reliable in extreme conditions (ice, sub zero, or other obstructions). However, we are simply arguing the fact that the windows don't work properly regardless of the condition.
I can only speak from my personal experiences, but every time my windows fail to work, it only reminds me of what a bad purchase I made. Although I have made every conceivable effort to resolve it with the dealer, every visit has fallen short of a solution. At a certain point, I begin to wonder why I'm wasting so much time at the dealer. It's inconvenient, frustrating, and I'm always left with no loaner. I work just like everyone else, and it becomes difficult without a vehicle.
