But this makes it no-longer a "torsion beam" axle, just a "stick" - that was my point.

With this modification, the axle is now located fore/aft by two (very short) lower trailing-links, and (it appears) torsionally & laterally by the Watts. (I cannot see if there is a center-link in the pictures or the video - and the video appears to have the Watts link pivot-bushings flex quite a bit, suggesting it is being used for torsional location as well)

This is NOT a "Bolt-N-Go" modification. Some Assembly and Fabrication Skill MAY be Required..... (Read: "MAY" = WILL)

Also - the torsion-beam in and of itself is not "crap" for suspension, just the spring and damping rates on our particular vehicle. It is an Industry Standard Practice.

exactly the cobalt ss/tc is the fastest production FWD car around the ring (i don't care what anyone says the Renault that beat it was NOT a production car, yes they we able to sell it from the factory but common it was gutted with a roll cage made specifically to break the record) and it rocks a torsion-beam
