H&R Springs

Anyone use them on their Veloster or even another car?

Always heard good things, and they are a reputable brand. I don't know squat about Ark, and the Eibach springs haven't gotten glowing reviews on the veloster either, so I'm leaning towards the H&R's

had them on a kia soul and loved em!!! I now have ark GT-F on my veloster. they both have a very conservative drop so dont expect it to go way low. Its hard to compare springs on two different cars. But you dont go wrong with H&R, they are the number 1 suspension makers in the world, the inventors of adjustable coilover struts and build stock springs for european cars such as Volkswagen.

That being said, ARKs are also quality springs and I think the best option. Just get the GT-S ones because like me, you will probably be dissapointed with the drop on the GT-Fs

If you want a good deal the NGM BETAMAX a pretty cheap but I dont know about there quality standards

i won two regional scca solo titles on H&R springs. i can't say enough good things about them. in fact, the set i bought for my 93 mirage ended up on my 99, and 00 model (the 00 was the series winner) . they are now on another 97. probably got about 200K on them total by now.

I used H&R springs on 3 different Hondas in the past and I was very ahppy with them. No sagging or rust issues.Very high quality stuff. They have been in business since the 70s, so Im sure they know a thing or two.

One thing I did like about them was the fact that the front springs are usually (not sure about the Velo springs) slightly lower then the rear. It gives the car a more raked look and if you have any weight in the rear it wont look saggy.

Thanks for all the input guys. That made my decision easier. I knew they had their reputation for a reason, just wanted to hear a couple first hand responses.

This is fine. I LOVE the look of slammed and flush, but I live in Chicago and our roads may as well be offroading. That and I'm not the easiest on my car. I end up on dirt roads and grass and stuff like that. As much as I'd love to slam this thing it just isn't practical. So I'd rather do a conservative drop with a nice stiff spring to improve the handling.

I have used H&R on Several German Imports Including my 997 Cab, and They are the Best after market Coils Made In my Opinion.

I have the Ark GT-S on mine and I love them. Drop is perfect since they lower the front more as well. Ride quality is great, the usual to expect from lowering springs. Plus they're gold!

Anyone know who has a stiffer spring rate Ark or H&R? I couldn't find that.

I have them on my 03 elantra...love them. I had a set of TEIN coils and I much prefer my springs and tib KYB-s over them...maybe i'm getting old. haha It does handle "differently" not better or worse...but it is better in different ways.

Do you like the ride on the ark springs. Still comfortable. I'm leaning way towards the GT-S and hoping to get them installed after xmas but theres like no pics with anyone who has them.

I just installed my Ark GT-S a few weeks ago. I'll take some pictures tomorrow afternoon to show you the drop, I don't have spacers or aftermarket wheels (Base model). They've finally settled so the drop should be set.

Too bad the NGM springs are currently out of stock. Those would have been the best option for the money!

BTW, the H&R springs aren't even on the market yet. We got a dealer notification that they are in development, so that's probably why some websites automatically listed them. They probably didn't even look at the ETA!
