    Pioneer NAVI vs. Stock Radio

So I have a style package V and I am having a hard time deciding on wether or not to swap out the radio. I know there are pros and cons but I cant decide!!! HELP!!!

    Here is the radio:

AVIC-X930BT - In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver with DVD Playback, Built-In Bluetooth® and 6.1" WVGA Touchscreen Display | Pioneer Electronics USA

    What are your thoughts?

In my past experiences my ears hear more of a difference from tweaking the equalizer on the upgraded radio. Especially because the style has a "better" speaker setup.

    Hey Sublime,

Gotta quick question. If you were to get this system installed, what features would you likely be giving up with a install like this? I would think that the "econo" stuff would be gone, but is there anything else?

    Thanks.

I had that exact Pioneer unit in my truck and frankly, I like the Hyundai unit better.

This is absolutely true. The HU in the V, at least for the Dimension, is totally adequate.

for 1k you could replace your sub/ amp and add a preamp keep stock head unit

For the money I decided to just upgrade the speakers amps and add a sub.

I then spent 29.99 on a phone windshield mount and 49.99 on a navigation app for my iPhone.

    Good enough for me.

I purchased the unit for $280 so it was a no brainer and the features i would be giving up would be all the "econo" stuff and the voice control (which I hardly use, I use Siri more). I am either way with it I can sell it (probably for profit) or use it and have navigation and bluetooth streaming (higher quality bluetooth streaming that is).

    My thoughts exactly.

The economy stats don't really interest me, and I hardly, if ever, use voice control.

The main point for me would be to have the navigation since I have the "Sport" model.
